"Look at me" - Severus Snape
This wraps up what I have been trying to tell you since the beginning. Snape's love for Lily was the thing that dictated his life, not his love for power and the Dark Arts. He might have been unstable, and he definitely needed some reminders about the way life works, but he was NEVER all the way bad.
What the mean: Harry has Lily's eyes, and he wants to see Lily's eyes before he died. My theory though, is that instead of Lily's eyes, he sees both their eyes. and they understand each other for the first time.
Now before we go, I would like to clear up one thing. I do not think James is bad either. Just because he married Lily, doesn't mean I don't like him. I think he is a good character, besides the bullying he did to Snape.
