Jerry woke suddenly and he remembered instantly the previous happenings last night. He sighed, then slowly got out of bed.
When he was down in the Great Hall, everyone was chatting about the werewolf. Some had serious and scared faces. Then promptly Alex was standing in front of him, his face excited. "Did you actually see a werewolf. I've never!"
"Don't act like it's the most coolest thing in the world," Jerry said. "It was a shock, really."
"Yeah, I know, of course," said Alex. "It would've been frightening. Come on, you get your breakfast."
Jerry nodded, then began to head over to the Gryffindor table. But he stopped abruptly as he saw Anna walking very slowly over to him. Her face looked anxious. When she was right up to Jerry, she said in a trembling voice, "Jerry - just promise you won't get angry."
"Angry with what?" Jerry asked. His face had hardened. He knew that something bad had happened.
"Angry with what I tell you," said Anna.
"I can't promise anything," said Jerry. "But just tell me."
"I.... he.... he told!" cried Anna, and she burst into tears.
"Who told what?" asked Jerry, but he already knew. Noah had told about the dragon.
"Noah.... told!" Anna cried. "I didn't know he would.... Please Jerry...." She stopped.
Alex came back over. "What's happened?"
But Jerry didn't answer. Instead he marched over to the Ravenclaw Table where Noah was. "You told?" he said quietly. "You told one of the teachers?"
Noah swallowed his food, and pointed.
There, marching over to Jerry, were the teachers.
Jerry stood stock still. The first things that Professor Penrose said was, "ARE YOU CRAZY?"
Professor Vineburg said, "How dare you TAKE CARE of a dragon!"
Professor Mitchell said, "And you never told us? That whelp will grow up to be wild and fierce! How dare you, Jerry James William Smith!"
"This is a terrible shock for me, Jerry Smith!" exclaimed Profesor Rowan.
Jerry said nothing. He was still glaring at Noah.
Then Ella came over. "It's not just him who's been taking care of Flame," she said loyally.
"Flame? Who's Flame?" asked Professor Penrose. But Professor Rowan said, "What do you mean, Ella? Do you mean that you have been helping Jerry?"
Ella nodded slowly.
"I have too," said Alex.
"Well, I'm afraid all of you will be expelled!" said Professor Rowan. "Well, that is what I would say immediately if I was the Headmistress!"
Jerry swallowed.
All the teachers nodded in agreement to Professor Rowan.
"It's time to get Professor Oshiro," she said. She left.
The teachers put their heads together and started talking.
Jerry said to Ella and Alex, "We are actually going to be expelled."
Ella nodded, but Alex said hopefully, "maybe Professor Oshiro won't decide to!" Then he turned to Noah. "You little brat!! You should definitely be expelled as well!"
Noah quickly got up from the Ravenclaw table and scurried away.
"Coward!" Alex yelled after him.
Professor Rowan came back with Headmistress Oshiro. She said, "Professor Rowan told me what you had been doing. I am not pleased at all." She was frowning. "I am afraid, you three.... are.....expelled."
Alex yelled, Jerry gritted his teeth, but Ella just stood still.
"I am sorry, but that is how things have to be," said Headmistress Oshiro. She did look sorry. "This is your last night here," she said. Then slowly she walked away.
"I'm sorry too," said Professor Rowan. "Yes - I will miss you students." Then she walked away as well, glancing over her shoulder at Jerry, Ella and Alex. The teachers did the same.
"Let's go to our dormitories," said Jerry quietly and the others nodded.
When Ella and Jerry stumbled into the Gryffindor common room, they saw Anna standing there. "I'm really really sorry!" she said. "It's all my fault!" and she walked over to Ella and hugged her.
"No - it's not really," said Ella. "I feel like I would trust my friend not telling anybody."
Jerry didn't say anything.
"Jerry, we'll be okay," said Ella. "I just know we will! We could go somewhere really cool adn have adventures!"
"Yeah, right," said Jerry. "I mean..." he started to say something, but stopped. He glanced out of the window.
"Anyway, it's almost dinner time," said Ella. "Already."
Jerry sighed and looked out of the window again. Would they really have an adventure out there?
