Farewell
Chapter 1
I glanced nervously up at the sky. The sun was setting;Sirius had better hurry up.Just when I was about to leave without him, that idiot man came striding out nowhere, smiling.
I rolled my eyes. " Where were you? I was about to leave."
Sirius ruffles my hair, which he knows I hate.
" Aw, Moony, don't be so uptight. I'm right on time!" He said, spreading out his arms.
I scoff. He knew he was late. But then, I can't help but grin. Sirius grabs my wrist and starts tugging me along.
" Wha-Sirius, where are we even going?" I say, nearly out of breath.
" Just c'mon. Almost there." He muttered, almost to himself.
"Sirius, there isn't much time. I need to--" He stands up straight and puts out a hand to silence me.
" We're here." Sirius whispered.
I look at our surroundings. There are clusters of aspen trees scattered around the peaceful little ledge that I hadn't noticed on our mad dash up the hill.
It's exactly the kind of place that I liked to hang out at. My breath caught. How did he know me so well?
" Sirius..." I say, in awe at the beautiful sunset.
He grins, clearly pleased that I like it. I turn to face him.
" How did you find this place?" I ask.
He shrugged, modest. " It's no big deal."
I took a step toward him. " It is a big deal." I say, my voice almost a whisper.
He blinks, then leans down and kisses my forehead. " See ya, Moony." He says, pulling away.
" Keep in touch, alright?" And with that, he's gone again. I sighed.
What did I have to do to get him to stay?
