ROWENA RAVENCLAW'S DIADEM-
Helena Ravenclaw stole the Diadem from her Mother( as she envied all the attention her mother got than herself) then hid it in the diadem in the Albanian Forest where later Voldemort found it and made it a Horcrux. But why 3rd place??
Voldemort then hid in the Room of Requirement while applying for a job at Hogwarts. Well, it did take Harry a long time to find. So it was hid well but Harry did have lots of help besides having to save Draco Malfoy.
