The chamber of secrets
This may be a surprise to you but this book stands out for me for it's amazing plot line. I loved the cool idea of the Basilisk and it's powers as it was alerting to read. I also liked the part where Harry learns he can speak parseltongue because it surprises the reader. I was initially going to put this in third place but it has a cool story.
