A Meeting With Jack
Chapter 3
"Wingardium, Leviosa!", said a voice. I turned around, it was Abby. I frowned, I wanted to tell her to put the wand down, but then I realized, she did a spell! The levitaion spell! I turned around to see what she was levitating. Oh no! It was a portrait of my mother with the Minister of Magic, Hermione Granger! The picture had a pure gold frame too! "Abby! Put it down, now!", I said, trying to yank the wand away from her. She smiled mischievously. "Okay, I'll stop. You should've said before Sara!", she said to me, putting her wand on the counter. I sighed. Good thing nothing broke- CLANG! I gasped and turned around. The portrait! It was on the floor, with glass broken! Of course, if you stop levitating, the thing your'e trying to make float, will drop! My mom came into my room, her big blonde curls parted nicely. She looked at me and then at the glass, and sent me to my room. Abby had already zoomed to the living room before mother came. Why had Bianca taught Abby that spell before Abby even started her first year? I mean, Abby was going right after summer vacation!
Our house was big, and I had the room that was downstairs. When I entered my room three minutes later, I heard a knock on my window. I turned around. I smiled. It was Jack! I ran out of my room to open the front door, and escorted Jack in quietly so nobody would notice. We came in my room. "Nice room.", he said, looking at the periwinkle walls. "Thanks, but, I don't know if it's safe for you to be here. I already got in trouble and-", he interrupted. "You worry to much, Sara. We'll be fine! I wouldn't do anything that got you in trouble.", he said, moving his hand for me to come forward. I smiled, and sat on my bed next to him.
We talked a bit. He said he was sorry about what Bianca did, and didn't want anything to her. He talked about his life and how he was doing in Hogwarts. I talked about my life too, but I couldn't help noticing that he kept scooting closer and closer to me as we talked. Soon, our legs were touching. We both noticed that at the same time, blushing. He looked at his watch. "Well, I better head home before lunch.", Jack said, standing up to finish the awkward silence he had created. I smiled and nodded and showed him the door. We said bye to each other and he left.
