Deal - Eliza's POV
Chapter 3
“You know Rowan,” I say to her as she spends another Care of Magical Creatures class ‘discreetly’ doodling drawings of Barnaby instead of the creatures, “You could just ask him out.”
“Didn’t we come to the conclusion that Charlie loves dragons too much to love anything else?” she answers distractedly.
“I don’t know if your drawings look like Charlie to me,” I jab and try to snatch her notebook. She blushes furiously and pulls the notebook to her chest.
“Are you peeking over my shoulder?” she shrieks
“You know, I didn’t have to peek to see them…” she returns to her notebook, handling it much more discreetly now.
“Well, you're not the one to talk really. You keep pinning after that blonde quidditch geek and do nothing about it,” she says dignified.
“Ro, he basically told me he wasn’t interested, it’s not the same. Though, I wish we could be friends again…” I mutter.
“That’s it!” she exclaims, “You have got to talk to him if you want to be friends again. You could just as well tell him you like him and explain yourself and then move on and be friends.”
“I don’t know Rowen…”
“If you do it, I'll ask that hunk out,’’ she says, gesturing in the general direction of Barnaby. “Deal?” she offers her hand, I consider it and then take it.
“Deal.”
“So let’s do it tomorrow. You know, why wait?” She smiles determinately and I smile back at her. She is the best.
