The Boy Who Ignores Me

Chapter 6
Bethany was eager to make new friends at Hogwarts. She was quick-witted and social, so she thought she wouldn't have a problem making friends. The way she went at it was a little strange though. She walked around with a big smile on her face looking for kids in the hallways.

Soon after she started walking, Bethany found a boy walking by himself. "Hi!" she said. The boy looked at Bethany. He examined her and then said, "My name's Dylan and don't come near me." Bethany was shocked by his response. Nobody had ever acted that way to her.

Bethany knew his response had something to do with the way she looked. He had said nothing about her until he examined her. She walked back to the common room and got on her makeup.

You may be wondering why Bethany even bothered to think about him. I mean, she could easily make different friends. But the truth was, Bethany had a tiny crush on that boy. Nothing big or anything. Just a small crush on Dylan.

That night, Bethany came in an encounter with Dylan again. "I said not to come near me!" he snapped. She was much more confused now. Bethany had put on my makeup to perfection. What was up? Was it something with her family or blood-status? She didn't know.

After that, Bethany told Julie about it. She was like, "Ignore him. You'll easily make different friends, with you being social and all." "I know, but, I wonder if everyone else will act that way around me. And besides, I have no idea what Dylan's problem is so, I have no idea how to fix it", she pessimistically said. "I bet, he just has other friends and doesn't want any new ones", she assured Bethany. Bethany still was unsure. She still wanted to just my friends with Julie.
