Ilvermorny Sorting
Chapter 4
Bethany was surprised to see that the corridors were actually very empty. She wondered where everybody was. She wandered the hallways looking for signs of students. She heard some screams in the hallway. She looked to her left. Sure enough, she was looking at the Great Hall.
She inspected the room. She studied the statues first. She noticed what part of the body would light up if you were sorted into that house. "Yes!" somebody cheered, "Bethany is here! Now we can move along with the story!"
Bethany looked at the person who had said that. It looked like a professor; maybe even the headmaster. She called up someone that went by the name of Julie Atkins. She was a Thunderbird. Reece Burke was sorted into Wampus. There was a boy that was Horned Serpent, another boy that was a Thunderbird, and a girl that was a Pukwudgie.
After that, the sorting continued. Bethany wondered how much longer until her name got called. It seemed like centuries until the professor called, "White, Bethany", to her. Bethany walked up to that platform. She watched every statue carefully. All of them lit up. Every single statue came alive.
"Wow!" said the professor, "I have never seen anything like this forever! Bethany, go ahead and choose your house!" Now Bethany knew what was happening. At first she had thought something with the magic went wrong but nothing did.
Bethany had no idea which house to choose. She barely knew which each house prized. She scanned the crowd. Bethany saw the face of Julie Atkins. She was looking like she really hoped Bethany would choose Thunderbird. "Thunderbird", she declared.
Bethany walked over to the Thunderbird and sat down next to Julie. "Thanks for choosing this house", Julie said. "No problem. Besides, I didn't know which house to choose", she told Julie.
