Warriors is a bookseries by Erin Hunter. It is about a group of wild cats, who live in Clans. Each Clan has a Leader, Deputy, Medicine Cat, Warriors, and Apprentices. A leader has Nine Lives, and leads the Clan. A Deputy organizes hunting, and border patrols, which find food, and mark borders. A Medicine Cat is a cat who uses herbs to heal injuries and wounds. Warriors defend, protect, and hunt for their Clan. An Apprentice is a Warrior-in training. Their are 5 Clans. ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and SkyClan. When a cat is born, they are given the name
-kit, added on to the name their parents give them. Example: Berrykit. When they reach 6 moons old (6 months), their last name is changed to -paw, (Example, Berrypaw), and are given a warrior who is their mentor. When they are trained enough in hunting and fighting, they are given their warrior name, which can be practically anything. (Example, Berryclaw). If a cat is to be a Medicine Cat, they still have a normal name, but are apprenticed to a Medicine Cat, who teaches them about healing herbs, such as Marigold, Yarrow, and Goldenrod. They are apprenticed longer than a Warrior apprentice. A deputy is chosen by the leader, whenever there is a vacancy. But, a deputy must have had at least 1 apprentice beforehand. If a leader dies, the deputy becomes the new leader, and elects a new deputy. The cats hunt mice, squirrels, and a number of birds and rodents, and sometimes fish. If you would like to learn more, check out the Warriors Website. If you want to read the series, the first book you should read is 'Into the Wild'. I hoped you liked my book. I wrote it for those who are confused about all the Warrior-Cat books being published.
