It wasn’t like I had nowhere to go to or no money, but each place held too many memories. Knockturn Alley, Cokeworth, the Burrow, The Black House, Hogwarts. Each one hurt. I finally went to the Burrow. Molly had said that I would turn up when I was good and ready, she was right. I thought of going to the Diggory’s but Amos hadn’t dealt with Cedric’s death well and this was more like home. Anyway, you know you’ve come to the right place when neither of you have to say anything. She just held me, and that’s all I wanted. Ginny and Hermione went back to Hogwarts, how I don’t know. Ron and Harry were going to the Auror Office. I felt in Limbo.

There were things that had to be done first though and Arthur helped me. There were wills at the Ministry and I needed to get it. My uncle’s all came to me, which was easy, but my father’s all went to “my children”. I was a little perplexed. Children? He had one child! I took the will and went to the Malfoys. There was a child there, Delphini. I wanted nothing to do with her, I thought they would bring her up as a Malfoy. Finally, I returned to Knockturn Alley and saw George. It was hard to know what to say. I think it ended up being “Alright Lou?”, “Alright”, with the safest hug ever.

When people had died in the past, I had always had a “do it for them” attitude. I always had a goal and my uncle standing by me. It was all so different. I started training in September at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement then went down to the Department of Mysteries. I specialised in transfiguration. I didn’t want to be an Auror because I had already been a double agent and didn’t want to see that again.

We all probably shrug it off but each person dealt with the war in their own way. After my training, I realised that I missed George. Ron was going to help George at the shop and I went with him. It always had been 1 business brain and 2 Weasleys.
