Okay, so I'm sure most of you have heard someone say something like, "You can't sit there because I called that chair," or, "I call the first bowling ball that we find with moss growing in it!" (Okay, well, maybe not the also one so much, but whatever.) I have pretty much been "calling" things for my whole life, but I never thought about it. Like, I never realized that what I was saying made no sense. I mean, when you say that you "called" something it kinda sounds like you called it with a phone and you were like, "Hello chair. I just had to call you because I wanted to stop my little brother from sitting on you." That makes no sense! "Calling" something is pretty much just a way of saying that you want something, so you have a "better chance of getting it." I guess it could also mean that you called "dibs" on something, but what the derp is a dib?! ...Never mind. I know what "dibs" means now. I looked it up. Apparently, dibs is a slang term for money, which still makes NO GOSH-DARNED SENSE!!!!! My only thought is that it could mean, like, I dunno, you will pay the person money if they get their butt off of your chair? Welp, I guess that's all for now. I'm gonna go find something new to complain about.
