Esme Brown's long brown hair was half pulled up, being held together with a blue bow. Her book bag was halfway down her arm as she ran into the gym. Her Dark brown eyes darted from place to place 'where was everyone' she asked herself. She could here the distant sound of a bell, she turned around but no one came out of the classrooms. She looked around becoming more scared. 'What happened everyone was here just a minute ago' she thought. Then as if on cue everyone began filling the hallway. She stood there shaking her head ' maybe it was nothing' but then she noticed the gym was full of students....students that weren't there before.
" Esme!" Esme's best friend Holly said running up to her. They embraced. Esme looked at her millions of question running around her mind.
" You okay?" Holly asked looking at her friends sweat covered face "What happened to you? You like you were being chased, you weren't chased were you?" she asked fixing the bow in Esme's hair.
" N-no I'm fine...you were in class?" She asked running her fingers through her hair nervously. Holly looked at her friend and nodded her head.
"Where else would I be," She said. becoming worried.
" I-I don't know....but nothing strange happened?" She asked her eyes staring into Holly's green ones. Her friend clearly didn't have answers, so Esme just left it at that.
"Sorry. I um, well I have to go babysit my brother, "She said running through the halls. She was about to go through the door when she heard Holly's voice.
" What brother?" She asked.
