Today I got my wand was the same day I had first found out about the wizarding world. We had first got my robes, then my books, when we stopped in front of Ollivanders, I was shocked that wizards actually used wands, I thought it was a myth! Suddenly 3 kids about my age ran out of the store knocking me over. The girl scolded the boys who kept on running, she came back helping me up. I learned her name is Dawn and the guys were Shane and Drew. They walked me into the shop chattering the entire way. 

      When we got to the front desk I realized how short I really am, I had to stand on my toes to reach my hands on the counter and not have to lift them, by doing this I heard a chuckle from behind me. Before I could glare at them a old man appeared. He told me I was a bit old to be getting my first wand, but many people were these days . He started handing me wands, I probably tried 10 different wands before I got the one that worked properly. 

My wand is 12 1/2 inches long and made out of dragon heart sting and yew wood. Ollivander said that it was very springy. Then we went to the robe store where we all were fitted with plan black robes (i thought that the robes would colored for the houses but i guess i was wrong)

      On the way out of the store with my new found friends we talked happily about our first day at the school that was coming, then we realized we were going in to the school with 11 yr olds and we are All 16 and up, we all groaned but our excitement wasn't going to be snuffed out that easy.  We made plans to meet up on the train and went our separate ways.
