Defense Against the Dark Arts Class
Chapter 8
This Monday, I left the North Tower to head to my DADA class. I was so excited. "Hey", said Marisa, "Are you excited for defense against the dark arts?" "More excited than you can imagine", I replied. "Same here. The only thing is, I heard Professor Daniels is a little strict."
I entered Professor Daniels' classroom. It had a lot of desks at the back, but otherwise it was pretty empty. On his chalkboard I saw he had it labeled, "Welcome to DADA!" I sat down at a desk and watched Professor Daniels.
"Welcome students!" said Professor Daniels, "This will probably the most important class you have, so you need to follow instructions carefully." He told us all of the basic rules of this class. I listened carefully and took notes.
After that, he told us about the history of the Dark Arts. A lot of times he mentioned Voldemort. He gave us some pretty good knowledge. After that, he passed out a quiz.
The first question read, "What is the incantation for the Revealing Charm?" Professor Daniels never once mentioned the Revealing Charm. Anyways, I wrote I don't know and I continued. "The next question read, "How many components of spellcasting are there?" I wrote 1,000 and I continued. The one after that read, "How many versions of the Verdimillious Charm are there?"
I was done this time. "Professor Daniels", I said. "Yes Rose?" he answered. "You never once mentioned any of the answers to these questions today", I told him. "Let me see. Oh dear! I gave you next week's quiz! I am very sorry."
After that, he gave me the real quiz and I understood all of the questions.
