Astronomy Class
Chapter 16
I walked up to the Astronomy tower for lessons with Professor Armstrong. "Ugh", said Marisa, "Why does it have to be so dark up here?" I marveled at the telescopes set on the edge of the tower. The stars in the sky glimmered in the moonlight.
"Welcome to Astronomy!" said Professor Armstrong, "Today there won't be any quizzes, although you have to write an essay, but the prompt is simple. Today I want you to look at the skies through your telescope. Write what you saw in your notepad. Afterward, you will have to write an essay about what you saw. And extra house points if you include Astrology in it."
I looked up at the skies through my telescope. I saw the constellation Orion. I wondered how stars form that way to make figures. I saw every planet and I could recall what each one was. I was pretty good at Astronomy, so this essay would be easy.
The next thing I saw was, the Big Dipper. That constellation was so interesting. For most constellations, you had to guess what they made, but with this one, if you drew a line to connect the stars, they would make a perfect shape.
I saw many other interesting constellations and stars. None of them were as interesting as the Big Dipper.
