The First Game

Chapter 15
Today was my first Quidditch match! Ravenclaw would be going against Slytherin. I couldn't wait. I heard the voice of Ava Porter bellowing through the mic.

Madam Hopkins was yelling, "3...2...1!" She dropped the quaffle and I moved up to hoops. I could swear I heard someone from the Slytherin bleachers yelling, "Let's go Rose!" I looked at the field. Madison had just won 10 points by using her spin-throw technique.

One of the Slytherin chasers got closer to me. He threw the quaffle beside me and I barely saved it. "A wonderful save by Rose!" said Ava. I saved another goal and then threw the quaffle to Diane so she could score ten points. Diane threw the Quaffle at the keeper and it slipped past it's fingers.

Our chasers kept on scoring points and I kept on saving the Quaffle. Ravenclaw was in a huge lead. I was pretty sure we were going to win until I saw this; the Slytherin seeker was really close to the snitch. We didn't have more than 150 points so, if he caught it, we were doomed.

"There goes Katherine taking advantage of the seeker's findings!" shouted Ava. I looked over. Kathy was swooping over the snitch. She was inches away from catching the small golden ball.

"And Kathy scoops up the snitch! 150 points to Ravenclaw! And Ravenclaw wins the first Quidditch match of the season!" I was beyond excited. I had won my first Quidditch match. And I had made some incredible saves.
