A witch?
Chapter 1
I was playing a game of Clue with my sisters that strange day. I always beat them, but they still loved to play. The pizza was supposed to come in hours ago, but the restaurant was on big delay. I heard a knock on the door. "The pizza!" my youngest sister Ella said. I rushed to open the door, but instead of a guy holding a pizza box, I saw a lady.
"Hello Rose. My name is Irene Burke. Call me Professor Burke", Professor Burke said. How did she know my name? "Oh! Are these your sisters?" she asked. "Yes. The younger one is Ella and the older one is Rebecca." My sisters wanted to know who she was. I told them she was named Irene. "Hello Rose's sisters", said Professor Burke. "Hi Irene", they both said.
Professor Burke pulled me over. "Rose Marie Scott", she said, "You are a witch. No, not the kind with green skin and black hats. The kind that can perform spells. I am a witch myself." "Ha ha ha. Very funny. You know there's no such thing as witches", I said. "Then watch this", she said, "Lumos!" The tip of her wand lit up.
I started believing her now. "Okay. Then why are you telling me this", I asked. "Because, you need to go to a school called Hogwarts. It is one of the 11 wizarding schools around the world. Now, follow me." Professor Burke fully explained what a witch is. She named the 11 different wizarding schools. "Tomorrow we will visit Diagon Alley", Professor Burke said. I didn't question her. She told me to tell my parents that I was leaving tomorrow and that I was going to a special school.
"Mum", I said, "Tomorrow I am going to somewhere with Professor Burke." "Where are you guys going?" she asked. Mum always was worried about my safety. And Professor Burke insisted that I don't tell them about Hogwarts and Diagon Alley. "All in Stock Signature. Remember, the one next to Make the Freshest. Irene says I need some new clothes for the school year", I lied. "Oh yes. Go with Professor Burke."
"And speaking of school", I said, "Professor Burke wants me to go to her school that she teaches at. It's called Riverside Gifted Academy." "Yes, I've heard of that school. You belong there", she said.
