Chapter 3
I walked along the narrow, almost nonexistent strip of land between the river and the ocean. It happened to be the only way for me to get to my cave at the end, the only home I ever knew.
A small fish jumped out of the cold river water and whopped against my ankle. It was cold and slimy and A LOT HEAVIER THAN I EXPECTED, causing me to cry out in pain. I stumbled and nearly fell into the deep salty water of the ocean on the other side of me.
"curse you fish!" I yelled at it as it flopped back into the cold water it came from.
Finally I got to the Cave. I was cold, wet from the rain that had recently started, and my ankle was slimy from that stupid little fish.
I sat in the middle of the cave floor and lit a fire after gathering some slightly damp wood and sweeping it into a pile with my GIGANTIC SKYWING WINGS. It made me slightly warmer, but not much. I suppose I'll have a long, cold (not to mention WET) night to look forward to.
