Chapter 2--- the quotes
Chapter 2
"I suspect the nargles." I'll just leave it at that. What better is there to say?
"You're just as sane as I am." She tries to comfort people, even if her dreaminess makes them think they're totally insane. Luna has a good heart, even if people can't see it. What does sane really matter anyway, as long as you're kind.
"I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood." She may be 'Loony' to some people, but she carries it proudly and, no matter how many people think she doesn't know about this nickname, she absolutely does. Luna has no problem with it, and doesn't care about what other people think about her.
"Ooh, look, a Blibbering Humdinger!" She has the mind to make something up (or is she making it up) like the blibbering humdinger.
"Things we lose have a way of coming back to us if not in always the way we expect." She doesn't worry about anything. She just goes with the flow and knows everything is gonna be all right.
"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." Even if she wasn't the first person to say it, Luna sure knows how to quote the right way.
"Exceptionally Ordinary." Ordinary can be good... Right?
"I've interrupted a deep thought, haven't I? I can see it growing smaller in your eyes." She knows when she's in the way and doesn't hesitate to get out. (Although anyone decent would never want Luna Lovegood to go away.)
"We fly, of course." She always has the good ideas even if no one gives her credit.
"People avoid them because they're a bit... different." Different is just as good as ordinary. In fact, they're all just as good. Luna knows not to ignore something just because it's different.
"Harry Potter! You listen to me right now!" Luna knows how to take control if she needs to.
"I hope there's pudding." Who doesn't? So simple, yet so loveable.
"We should close his eyes. Don't you think? There. Now he could be sleeping." Luna helps Harry get through Dobby's death.
"Wrackspurts. Your head's full of them." It may not be the best Luna Lovegood quote, but we can't ignore that she saved Harry- several times.
