Chapter 2
As I was walking down the hall I could see my new teacher greeting the other students with hugs and handshakes. She seemed nice enough. Just 5 more steps I tell myself. Remember she seems nice. I almost chicken out and run the other way when she says, "Hi, you must be Ella! You seen nervous honey would you like anything." "No i'm okay, just a little nervous to give the speech." I say.
I feel much better now. She told me I could just come up to the front of the class and say my name and age, and it does not have to be a long prepared speech. She seems really nice but all of the kids were glaring at me when I came in 5 seconds late. This is going to be a really long year.
