Lesson Three: Viewing Tips

Chapter 3
The telescopes we have have a power range of 10 to 250 power. Von Rheticus telescope is 15 centimeters long. When you are not using your telescope, keep the cap on so if it gets lost and the cap has your name on it, someone will find it and give it back. Don’t look at the sun or the full moon with your telescope because it will break all the charms on it. Muggle celestial globes can't
show the sun moon or planets because they move. But enchanted ones can and the planets and sun move on enchanted globes. A star chart is a map that wizard and muggles use. It show where constellations and stars are in the sky. If you want to read it at night but know if you have light it will effect how well you see the sky, but if you have a red lamp it won’t effect your vision as much. Don’t try to locate an object in the sky with high power on. You can tell stars and planets apart because stars twinkle and planets don’t. This is what I learned in lesson three.
