She sat there looking at the place her father last stood. She kept reading “The Legend of The Amethyst sword” over and over and over again but she couldn’t figure it out. When all is lost, and war is upon you will find the sword in the mist. What did it mean!? The purple in the dirt will shine once a year for the person whose family is in danger. For those of you who find the bones of the dragons who are not worthy you go on and may be the one. “Maybe the swamps?” she wondered aloud. “Wait…” she slipped her talon under the page. There was a secret page! Underneath was more writing and “A key?!” It said: If you found this key you where looking hard for a way to save the ones you love. My spirit will be following you on your journey through the mores. “Oh my! Well thank you?” the words disappeared, and new ones replaced them. Go now for your family is in danger little one! She brought the book along. “Where should I go?” The swamps are near the ones you seek but without the freezing death array you will not succeed in the thing you most seek. “well that’s helpful” she thought “Oh the Ice Kingdom!” She realized. She started in the direction of the Ice Kingdom when the book started to vibrate. In red letters she read: with the one you seek darkness lurks and the sprits bane will near you there with the ones you hail hides the darkest one where the secrets hide the crown sits on the wall where you once stood. The blood of your enemies paints the crown from the battles you have won and with the darkest secret comes the farthest light for the one you most behold. “What does that mean?” she wondered. But then she had it. It means she was in line for the throne. She had to stop the war and she realized that that was why the Nightwings wanted her, that was why the guard had said: She’s Midnight’s daughter you fool! “the Nightwings don’t want the war to stop” she thought. “And they’d kill anyone who gets in their way. Including one of their own.
