Chapter 4
I apparate into an alley across the street from kings cross station, holding my trunk in one hand and my wand in the other. I quickly stow my wand in one of my jeans pockets and step out of the dark alley into the bright light of the sun. I look both ways and cross the street quickly checking my watch as I go, the Hogwarts Express leaves in 15 minutes. In the parking lot, I see Luna closing the door of the back of her dad's car. I head straight for her but when I'm seven feet away a girl walks past Luna saying "Hi Loony, You're in for a rough year at Hogwarts!" she laughs and walks away. I change course, instead of heading towards Luna, I walk straight at the girl.
"Hey!" I say loudly, catching up with the girl. "What?" said the girl coolly. "Luna helped save everyone's lives last year! Without her Harry Potter wouldn't have been able to find what he needed to find to kill V-V-Voldemort!" The girl shuddered and dropped the bag she was holding at the sound of Voldemort's name. She bent over and picked it up, glaring at me. "I don't really care, I left all of you idiots to die at the first sign of danger." She didn't sound remotely ashamed, in fact she sounded proud. "Sadly, the death eaters didn't finish the job." she said looking at me with an expression of great distaste. It took me a second to recover from this news. "Well, you should care, because if Voldemort was still in power you'd probably be-" but then the girl cut across him, "Fine, I'd be fine. Because I didn't go against him, and I obviously wouldn't be going back to Hogwarts, like I just said, I fled the moment I found out that there was danger." I glared at her then glanced down at my watch, the Hogwarts Express leaves in nine minutes. "To say it in words you'd understand, I don't care about you or any of you're stupid friends!" said the girl coldly. "What house are you in?" I ask. "Ravenclaw, why?" the girl answered, narrowing her eyes. "Wow, I thought you were in Slytherin for sure. you're so mean. And not acting very smart." And with that I walked away leaving the girl looking very offended.
I glanced down at my watch again, I was standing right next to the barrier that leads to platform 9 3/4. The Hogwarts Express would leave in five minutes. I slipped through the barrier onto the steamy station of platform 9 3/4.
