Chapter 13
In the morning I opened my eyes blearily. The pillow had fallen off of my head and was laying on the floor. I slipped out of bed and picked up my pillow. I made my bed, ignoring Isabelle's loud snores. The door creaked open, I jumped and spun around. But it was only a completely white cat with one blue eye and one green eye. "Hello Blanco." I said lovingly even though I knew he couldn't hear me because he's deaf. I scooped him up, he was large for a one year old cat, he purred loudly. I put him down on my bed where he looked at me with longing in his eyes, then he settled down on my pillow and quickly fell asleep. I began looking for my robes in my trunk, it was a mess from my search last night. Makayla woke up and yawned, "G-good morning," She said then she got out of bed and replaced the blankets where they belonged so that her bed was beautifully made. I looked at my own messy attempt to make my bed look nice and shrugged it off, Makayla's a perfectionist, she probably practiced for years. I grinned and stuck my head back into my trunk so that Makayla wouldn't see.

By the time I had finally located my robes in my messy trunk, Alexis was awake as well. The only sound was the occasional yawn and Isabelle's continuous snores. I changed silently and when I was finished, I left not wanting to stick around for conversation. I walked into the common room and checked my watch, it was only 6:30. Even though the elves had probably prepared breakfast, I plopped down in a comfortable chair near the fire. The common room was mostly empty since everyone was either sleeping or down at breakfast.

I gazed into the fire thinking about everything that had happened over the past year. Breaking into the headmaster's office to retrieve a sword that wasn't even the real copy. Being kidnapped and held hostage in the cellar of Malfoy Manor. Harry, Ron and the elf named Dobby coming to save us. Dobby saving everyone's lives and then dying, it was so unfair. I was looking forward to getting to know him. Then Harry, Ron, and Hermione leaving. The rumors about Harry, Ron and Hermione breaking into Gringotts. The battle. All of those people that died. I suddenly realized that tears were falling slowly down my cheeks. I heard footsteps descending one of the spiral staircases, I didn't look around but I hastily dried my tears on my sleeve. "Morning Loony," said a familiar voice. I turned my head so fast that I cricked my neck, I had turned just in time to see thick curly auburn hair whip out sight. Rubbing my neck, I checked the time, it was 7:12. I had been sitting here for a while. As I stood up three first year boys entered the common room talking eagerly, "- Yeah, that's what I heard too, Harry Potter came back." One was saying. "He defeated you-know-who last year then?" Another whispers. "Yeah, he did, I was there. I saw it." I said irritably making them all jump and then scurry away.

Were people still talking about Harry? Can't they just except what had happened? I thought angrily as I walked through the corridors toward the Great Hall. All he's ever done is save lives and kill the most evil wizard there ever was! Can't people just give him a break? My thoughts were interrupted by a Hufflepuff fifth year who pushed me aside in her haste to enter the Great Hall. I hadn't even realized that I was already there. I walked inside and looked around, there was Draco sitting at the Slytherin table keeping to himself. I looked towards the Gryffindor table and saw Ron shoveling food into his mouth as he listened to Harry while Hermione read the Daily Prophet. Ginny was sitting a little bit away from them in the middle of a conversation with a girl with dark brown hair. I searched the Gryffindor table, narrowing my eyes, but I couldn't spot Neville. He must still be in his dormitory. I instead turned my gaze to the Ravenclaw table, there she was, her thick curly auburn hair in a ponytail today. She was talking to a friend. I sat down not too far from her, and began adding eggs to my empty plate.
