Harry, Ron, Seamus, Dean and I stayed up talking hours into the night. "Hey guys guess what!" Said Dean suddenly. "What?" Ron and I said together. "After the war, since I had been captured and I had to go on the run because I didn't know if my dad was a muggle or not, I decided to look for him." Dean explained eagerly, "Did you find him?" Harry pressed on. "Yeah, he was pretty cool. He looks a lot like me which explains why I don't look like mum." Dean said happily. "But hang on," Said Seamus, who had clearly spotted a problem, "I thought he left you and your mum, did he even want to see you?" Dean thought for a moment then said "I don't think he really wanted to, but he seemed happy when I showed up at his house." "You just showed up?" Ron asked. "Yeah, but if you guys want to find out what happened, you'll have to stop interrupting me." Said Dean irritably. "He let me in and started by telling me why he left." Dean began, "He said that he had to go to Ireland, that's where he lives now, for a work thing. Before he left, he saw a beautiful woman and fell in love. He still loved my mum, but he loved this woman more. He asked her out and to his surprise he said yes. My mum and dad hadn't gotten married, but my dad was going to propose to her, but then he met the other woman. He went home to my mum to break up with her and get his things since he was moving to be closer to the other woman." Dean paused to his story to take a breath of air.

"My mum was heartbroken but continued on with her life." Dean plunged on, "My dad moved in with the other woman. A few weeks later he got a letter, it was from my mum. She was pregnant, my dad chose to ignore it. He thought it was her way of tricking him into coming back. But as you know she wasn't lying, she was disappointed and angry that he didn't care enough to even send some money to help her care for the child. She had to get two extra jobs. My mum never mailed him again after that and he never mailed her. My dad used the ring that was originally for my mum and proposed to other woman, so now she's my step-mum." Dean finished.

"Did you ask if he was a wizard?" I asked. "Yeah," Dean said. "And?" Said Harry and Seamus together. "And he's not." Answered Dean. "So you really are a muggle born?" Asked Ron. "Yup." Dean said. "Did you have to obliviate him after since you told him about the wizarding world?" I asked. "No," Dean replied, "He already knew. My step-mum is a witch." Dean said a smile on his face. "Small world." Said Seamus, also grinning.

Harry checked the time, I looked too. It was 11:23. "We should get to bed if we want to wake up in time for lessons." said Ron who was also looking at the time. We all scrambled into our beds. But I couldn't sleep, the vision of Malfoy and Luna walking out of the Great Hall together kept popping into my head. But then I reminded myself that Luna would never feel that way about Malfoy, even if he felt that way about her.
