Christmas break just started. Many students had left Hogwarts to visit their families. But, all the Ravenpuff members continued living in the Room of Requirement. Classes ended during Christmas break, but we continued our learning. We checked out tons of books from the library. We practiced the spells in those books. We brewed the potions in our books. We read A History of Magic to refresh our memory of the beginning of time. We did all we could to continue our education. Soon, we were learning spells far beyond our level. We tried Polyjuice Potion, but instead of turning into each other, we turned into pigs. We tried making a Patronus, but we produced a small dot that stayed alive for a few seconds. "I think we need to stick with the easier spells", Beth admitted. We thought we had mastered every first-year level spell. We were ready to move onto harder spells, but Christmas break ended the day after today. "I guess our self-guided learning is done", Jane said sadly. "Why does it have to be? We can continue our harder learning. It can be like Dumbledore's Army, except, we aren't repelling against anybody." "We can call ourselves the Ravenpuffs!" Megan exclaimed.
