You Owe Me: Dramione

Chapter 1
It was a normal day in mid- May. The birds were chirping cheerfully from their perches in the trees, and the sun shined over Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Hermione didn't want to be late; she had promised Ginny and Luna that they would meet up near the lake. And she wasn't one to break promises. Unless a new book came out, of course. Then she would rush to the library and fight her way through the line to be the first to read it. She smiled to herself at that thought. It was true, though. She was very protective and passionate about books. They were her escape out of reality when things weren't doing well. It was her pathway to another world where everything was perfect.
"Granger." said a voice behind her. Hermione swiveled around, and came face- to- face with a certain blonde. Malfoy. Draco Malfoy. "You dropped something."
"Oh." Thanks." she reached for the book that the Slytherin held in his hand. He pulled it away, out of her reach.
Draco gave a slight smile. "Now you owe me one." And he gave it to her.
Hermione crossed her arms, giving Malfoy her why-do-I-even-care face. He didn't say anything. He just turned around and left.
She didn't tell Ginny and Luna about what had happened. It was just...odd. She shook her head, snapping back to reality.
"We were talking about Thestrals, Hermione." Luna said, smiling, her pale blue eyes lighting up. "They really do have intriguing behavioral patterns."
Hermione exhaled. She pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind and continued the conversation.

The next day was dreadful; it was raining, and the sky was blanketed in stormy grey clouds. It was also Sunday, which meant that there was nothing to do besides walk around the castle. So, Hermione decided to go to the library. Obviously. Who wouldn't on a day like this?
"Granger." said a voice. She turned around, and came face-to-face with the same person as the day before.
"What do you want, Malfoy?" she said, rolling her eyes.
He smirked, grey eyes sparkling. "You owe me, remember?"
"What, you want me to do an essay for you?" she replied sarcastically.
"No." he answered, taking a few steps forward so she was backed up against the wall.
"What then." her voice didn't portray anything but annoyance.
"Kiss me."
"Sorry," she said slowly, staring at him incredulously. "Say that again?"
"Kiss me." he repeated, taking a half step forward.
Her jaw dropped a fraction. "Wha-" she said, utterly confused and shocked; she didn't get to finish her sentence. Draco pushed her against the wall, his lips crashing against hers. Good thing that it was a side corridor; deserted, too. He put one hand on her waist and one on the back of her neck, pulling her closer. She tangled her fingers in his soft blonde hair, and he did the same with his left hand, running his fingers through her brown tresses. Hermione's teeth grazed his lip, and he bit her bottom lip in response. The two pulled away in the need for air, panting. Their foreheads rested against each other, and Hermione put her hands around his neck. No words were said; it wasn't needed. They already knew, somehow, what the other thought.
"Granger." Draco whispered, silver eyes meeting her deep brown ones. "I might just have to keep you."
She smiled. "I'd be fine with that."
