Chapter 1
I could fell the wind on my face and my blood pounding in my ears. I was barely aware of everyone yelling my name. "Kate, Kate, Kate." I Just needed to get the ball in the goal and we would win the championship. My heart was racing faster than ever. six seconds left in the came. The goal it was just six feet away but it might as well have been 6 miles. the speakers were blaring "5, 4, 3, 2.."Just kick it, just kick it. and I did. It was in the goal, we had won the championship soccer game!! The next 20 minutes were a blur of congratulations and trophies. Next thing I knew I was carpooling in my car with my friend to go get ice cream and have a normal happy celebration. (or so I thought)
