I suddenly woke up. It was the middle of the night. Standing over me, was a huge, ginger cat with a squashed face. He growled "What are you doing here?" Frightened, I backed up. "I- I don't know." I stuttered. "Come with me." he said menacingly. Meekly, I followed. We left the red room, and went back into the stone hallway. He soon found the other cat I met, Mrs. Norris, and she came with us. We soon went into a room with a lot of cages and desks. Crookshanks (for that was the ginger cat's name) started meowing. Suddenly, a hidden door opened, and a tall woman stepped into the room. Upon seeing Crookshanks, she suddenly turned into a tabby cat! I was very confused. The woman-now-cat said to me "Hello. Are you new here, dear? My name is Professor McGonagall." She explained that she could turn into a cat at will. She then explained all about the castle, which was called Hogwarts, and the rules that you had to follow. She said that I could be in the corridors as long as my owner knew where I had gone, and if I had Crookshanks or Mrs. Norris with me. She then turned back into a woman, and went back through the hidden door. Crookshanks and Mrs. Norris then took me back to the blue room with windows. They left, and I sank into sleep, thinking about what I had learned.
