~Plants and Animals
-fuzzy line to what defines as "animate"
-animate: something that lives and moves of its own accord
-includes animals, but cuts out most plants
-Life: Something which has biological processes that allow it to grow and function
~Fish
-possess gills, skulls, and fins

-mainly eat plants and algae, though some eat other fish or animals living in the water

-use gills to filter oxygen from the water

-covered in scales and a layer of mucus, which are protective mechanisms

-reproductive system of a floral plant
