Fianto Duri is the incantation of a charm that, when combined with a protective spell such as Protego Maxima, can cause magical defenses to become hard or more durable.
This charm should only be used in extreme circumstances. when combined with the previous spell, it causes anybody who crosses the barrier to disintegrate.
Fianto Duri is a very strong spell and if you need to be using it, I'm worried for your safety. Alas, that is the point of this book. But I hope you're only reading this for research purposes. One of the most prominent times this spell has been cast was during the second great Wizarding War.
The hand movement for this spell is simply pointing your wand toward the sky. The effects will reach out and grasp onto any other protective spells, causing them to be much more powerful.
