The next day at lunch Jerry looked for Lily. He found her sitting with KC three tables away. Jerry walked over, as soon as KC saw Jerry she jumped in front of Lily.
“ Give it a break Jerry” KC scowled
“Just hear me out KC, I promise it’s nothing bad” Jerry told her.
“ Ya right,” KC mumbled
“Can you please move so that I can talk to Lily?”, Jerry asked
“Sure…, But I’m watching you”, KC warned
“ Lily I am so sorry-”, Jerry started
“SORRY? Jerry am I going crazy or did I just hear you say sorry! Lily pinch me I think I'm dreaming”, KC demanded
“You're not dreaming”, Jerry assured her, “Now as I was saying. I’m sorry Lily, for all the things I did. Last night I stayed up till 2:30a.m. reading your book. I realized that I was bullying you because I was……..” Jerry hesitated for a moment “ I was jealous.”
Lily turned red “Really?”she asked
“ Yes” Jerry answered
“Now I know I’m dreaming,” KC remarked. Lily looked at her
“No you're not” Lily hissed while blushing.
“Lily” Jerry said “ Can I ask you one more thing”
“Sure” Lily replied
“Can we be friends… Please?” Jerry begged
“Hold on. Jerry did you really just say that” KC questioned
Lily glanced at KC .
“I guess we can be friends,” Lily replied
¨Great¨ said Jerry looking thankful.
So the three new friends talked as they walked to their next class and Jerry learned that you shouldn't be jealous is no excuse to be a bully.
