This chapter talks about the present Salem Institute of Magic and the great change of the school that was all for the better.

After the Department of Magic sent the two schools to the new Salem Castle to the new school Salem Institute of Magic, many things changed for the good of everyone. The school was changed to a boarding school but the school houses common rooms that are located in the castle much like Hogwarts common rooms, are not where the students sleep and are closed at the same time it used to be. All the houses are located away from the castle and are separated form each other. The four houses have even changed their house crests just like the school changed its school crest.

Even the houses have changed because of the various upcoming students. Here are what the four houses are like now.

Danvers

Although Danvers still values sacrifice and helpfulness they have become very intelligent. Following their founders wish many Danvers have found new ways of studying and have become the smartest house of the school. They have become to be like the American version of Ravenclaw. The houses colors are blue and silver and their uniforms are suits that are covered in blue and trimmed in silver. Their house crest is on the left side of their chest. The Danvers common room is located in the west tower that overlooks the mountains and river. In order to enter Danvers common room you must find a portrait of Abigail Heremora and answer question. She will then show you her secret passage that leads to stone wall with symbols. You must enter the right symbols to get through the wall. Once in the common room will fill you with warmth. With the spectacular view and the grand walls and ceilings all covered with windows and a beautiful balcony this common room will make you want to stay there forever. The common room is filled with books and has three floors. The third floor is always locked though because it is where the teachers of Danvers sleep. The huge fire pit and the enchanted painted walls keep you interested and entertained. Danvers House is the most beautiful place you'll ever go to in Salem Institute of Magic (if you're a Danvers). Even though it's called Danvers House it is a village of houses. It is located somewhere in the forest under a waterfall. Danvers House has a spectacular view of the castle, the sunrise, and sunset. Each Danvers gets their own "house" to sleep in. These houses consists of a bed, table, couches, bathroom, and a view. There are no doors to enter the houses. There only curtains but the bathrooms are of course concealed. Danvers animal remains a crow and their song is still "Red Hot A'Bubbling" but they have picked up a saying that Abigail Heremora, the founder of Danvers, used to say to here students. "You might be poor, your shoes might be broken, but your mind is a palace." The Head of Danvers Susan Westridge took this literally and built Danvers House as if it was a palace to study and relax the mind.

Ipswich

Ipswich remained the same as they were before. There animal remains a black Labrador and there House song is still "The Stone Toil." However there common room and Ipswich Manor has changed. The houses color is now black and purple. Their uniforms are considered "classy" by fellow Ipswichs with the house crest on their left chest. Ipswich is like Slytherin being known to have a lot of pure-bloods. The Ipswich common room is located in the dungeons. It is half above and under the lake. The common room is dimly lit up by purple candle light and has a cold chill to it and is guarded by a three headed black Labrador with purple eyes. Ipswich Manor is where Ipswich students sleep in. It is one big manor that everyone sleeps in. Every student gets their own privacy by getting their own room with a bathroom. Ipswich are very selfish, spoiled, and rude. They take pride in being pure-bloods and will do anything to make themselves winners. So when your on that quidditch field you best watch out for Ipswich. The Head of Ipswich is Sit Cretan who used to be a student at Hogwarts, but moved to America when the Ministry of Magic snapped his wand for hexing a Muggle. Sir Cretan is a pure-blood and was of course a Slytherin, so he try's to make Ipswich like an American Slytherin. Sir Cretan uses a staff as his wand and is now known by others "Cretan the Warlock" for that is what he is. Ipswichs founder Dexteria Mott used to say to her students, "Winning is nothing, but dominating is everything," and so Ipswichs take this literally to everything.

Ipswich Manor

Andover

Andover is just like Gryffindor. Andover is still the largest house of Salem and they still value leadership and independence above all else. The house colors are red and gold. The uniforms are much like Hogwarts except they wear red sweatshirts with the house crest on their left chest. They uniforms are red and trimmed in gold. Andovers common room is located in east tower. Andovers common room is much like Gryffindors. Except there are whit pillars inside. The windows allows you to see the river and the sunrise. In order to enter Andover hall you must tell Rebecca Ravenspirit's portrait the password. Andover is the only house to change their animal. Instead of a white stallion Andover changed it to a white unicorn with a red and golden horn. Andover Hall is where Andover students sleep but it is not just a hall. Andover Hall is only where they eat and socialize. Andover Hall is actually a castle like building where all the students stay over night. Up to five students share a dormitory. Although the building doesn't look that big it is bigger inside because of an expansion charm. Andover is known for their quidditch team and great leaders. Andover's founder Rebecca Ravenspirit expects Andover to lead the school away from evil because she had told the other founders of her prophecy. Saying that Salem would change and have a castle, but somewhere in the castle......... Darkness lingers. The Head of Andover is Vice-Principal Arcadia Pencey.

Andover Hall

Fairfield 

Since Danvers has become to be known as the American version of Ravenclaw, you are probably wondering what has the house that has produced some of the most brilliant minds of American wizarding history become to be known as? Well Fairfield has become to be known as the American version Hufflepuff. Fairfield still values curiosity and creativity, but they put that all together to help others and to take care of nature and it creatures, both magical and non magical. Fairfield uniforms are orange button up shirts with a brown vest and pants and a tie with brown and orange on it. Their House crest is located on tethering left chest. Fairfields colors are brown and orange just like their animal, the fox's color. Fairfield common room is located in the basement. In order to enter you must pick the right apple from the tree. If you don't the apple will turn into a flock of birds and chase you away. Fairfield Cottage is located in the forest near a farm field. The Fairfield students work in the field to study and harvest plants and food. The cottages are located in an enchanted tree. Each cottage hold six students. Three boys and three girls. They share rooms based on their gender. The Great Cottage is where the Head of Fairfield Donna Livens and the prefects sleep. They each get their own master bedrooms. Fairfield and Danvers don't usually get along. Danvers believes that Fairfield has the great minds they used to own and has replaced it with a tree hugging mind, while Fairfield believes that Danvers is being selfish with their craving for knowledge for themselves. Fairfield believes in selflessness which helps them remember that they must study so that they can help change the world for the common good. Fairfield feels like Danvers only sacrifices others time for their own time to gather intelligence. Fairfield students follow their founder's, Ann Kibblewell's, quote, "It takes something more than intelligence to act intelligently."

Salems Catle

Salems Catle is a beautiful castle filled wonders and mystery. Salem Institute of Magic is the best school in America and has the best campus. Salem is one of the largest wizarding boarding schools in the world. The castle itself is the same size as Hogwarts, but the houses give it a wider range. Salems Castle is rumored to have secret caves and rooms that the Department of Magic and the vice and main principal of Salem had installed. These rumors haven't been proved to be right or wrong so a rumor is all it is.
