As if staying alive, and climbing the ranks isn't enough he also has to deal with his feeling for John Laurens, his best friend, and fellow revolutionary. This is just a collection of fanfiction. If it's connected, I put it in multiple parts. It is in no way historically accurate, it's just fun stories. If you have an idea for a story or headcanon in this owl me, or post on my wall. Chapter 3
"What's going on in there?"
"I don't know, he spent 30 minutes talking to us both, well we were talking over each other and then he kicked me out."
"Wow that stinks, I'm gonna go wait for Alex some more if that's okay."
"Fine, whatever."
He walked away rather quickly. John could practically see a cartoony storm cloud over his head. He continued just standing there, wondering what had gone on in the tent. THE TENT! He whipped around and ran back to the mass of white cloth. Alex was talking louder now. Were they arguing? He leaned a little closer but still couldn't hear anything. "Arrrggghhh, Alexxxxxx" John muttered, pacing again. He'd been waiting for over an hour when Alex rushed out, grinning like a madman. "ALEX!" John yelled from the side of the tent, running towards him. "There you are! How'd it go?" They were standing face to face now. "I got it!" Alex replied, almost giddily. "I knew you would," John said, trying to hide how nervous he'd been "You're the most qualified person here." "Really? I was sure Washington was going to hire Burr right then and there, and I was going to be in massive trouble for some reason. I mean obviously, I've upset a few people dut no one has died or anything, and I'm still not entirely sure why I got it, he probably couldn't find anyone better or something-" John shut him up with a kiss. They pulled apart again. "Wha-?" "For the smartest person, I know you can be REALLY stupid sometimes. Washington chose you because you're amazing and brilliant and know how to speak your mind." Alex smiled, blushing furiously. "I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be speaking my mind right now."
"How come? We share the same beliefs and stuff."
"John," he sighed "I can't say what's going through my brain right now because it's all about how much I love you."
John blushed to a shade of bright red. "I , um, I love you too Alex."
They walked back to the city hand in hand.
(When I wrote this I had a mental image of Laff and Hec hiding in bushes with binoculars spying on them, so ur welcome for that)
