I'm supposed to be keeping a journal for Charms class, full of everything I've leaned each week. Well, this week we started off with a basic but useful little spell, 'Wingardium Leviosa', the Levitation charm. We started by practising the wand movement, the famous 'swish and flick'. 

After I got the hang of the wand movements, I attempted to levitate a hairpin. I think I was focusing a bit too hard, as the hairpin went ricocheting around my room! I decided to practice with a small stuffed teddy bear. I had slightly more success with this as, after an hour of practice (and several smashed ornaments), I was able to levitate it around my room! The feeling was incredible!

Since then, I've been practising every day and can now levitate chairs, small boxes and my cat. I haven't had much success with bigger things like tables but I'm getting there!
