written by ♡Aℓσнα♡
A pure-blood witch is getting ready to go to Hogwarts - the place she has dreamed of going since a toddler. But what house shall she be sorted into? Ravenclaw - for the cleverest. Hufflepuff - the loyalist. Gryffindor - the bravest. Or the most cunning of all - Slytherin? This is my first book, enjoy! And please, I beg, read this!

The Sorting Ceremony
Chapter 3
The first years heard the calling of Hagrid -- someone that looked like they could've been a half giant -- to get on the boats and did. Kate, Elena, and a pair of twin girls got on the same boat. "Be careful for the giant squid.", Hagrid muttered. Almost the whole time of the boat ride, Elena stared at Hagrid in amazement. Kate just enjoyed the view of Hogwarts from the water, and the twins were searching the water for the giant squid.
Kate decided she should make even more friends and said, "Hi, I"m Kate Liwildon, and this is Elena Trillber. Who are you guys?". "This is Amelia, and I'm Miranda.", said one of the brown-haired twins. "You could just call us the Cilastifor twins, since that is our last name. We're half-bloods.", said the other twin which was Amelia. You could tell which twin was which because Miranda had brown hair just up to her shoulders and Amelia had medium length brown hair a little past her shoulders.

The Sorting was starting. All the first-years were either nervous or excited.
"Bolson, Eric!", said Professor McGonagall, the headmistress of Hogwarts. Eric put on the old Sorting Hat, waited a few seconds, and -- "HUFFLEPUFF!", the hat yelled. The Hufflepuffs cheered. "Cilastifor, Amelia!", said the Professor. "RAVENCLAW!", the hat said immediately. The Ravenclaws cheered. Kate's stomach hurt. What was she going to do? "Cilastifor, Miranda!", said McGonagall. "RAVENCLAW!". More cheers!

It was now Kate Liwildon's turn after many others. She took deep breaths as she stood up and walked over to the stool next to the Professor. As Kate sat down, she saw Emma from the long Gryffindor table -- waving at her and smiling. Kate smiled back -- ready. The old, ripped up Sorting Hat took a long time to yell out the house Kate was perfect for. Almost a minute long! Meanwhile, Kate closed her eyes and kept thinking inside her head -- "Please be a house that'll make me as good as Emma. Please". Even though Kate's stomach hurt and she had a headache and everything, she really wasn't that scared -- just nervous. But Kate realized at the moment that she shouldn't be so nervous -- after all, she'll still learn magic and still have friends. Kate opened her eyes. She looked at her sister and new friends and smiled. Then the Sorting Hat blurt out the answer Kate's been trying to figure out ever since she was the age of eight three years ago.
Gryffindor.
