Chapter 7
"Now look what you've done!"
Lysander yelled angrily.
"What? She got what she deserved. She really did think of us as people to do her bidding." Lorcan said stubbornly.
"But she was a good friend. You're acting bad. You're saying harsh things she'll never forgive."
Lorcan's face fell. "Do you think she'll... never forgive me?"
"Would you forgive her if she said that to you?"
"I... I don't think. But she insulted our mum!"
"It was a fact. She said so too. Mum."
"But she can't talk about Mum that way!"
"No, she can't," Lysander agreed. "But you don't have to right to insult her either."
Lorcan looked down at the wooden floor. "What do you think I have to do?"
"Well, you two are really alike," Lysander said. "You're really stubborn and she is too. What do you think would make you forgive the one who said that to you? The thing you said to Lily."
"Nothing." Lorcan replied gloomily, looking as if he had given up hope entirely.
"Think. We have to gain her trust and friendship again."
"Right." Lorcan said grimly. After thirty seconds, his eyes lit up. "I know what to do!" he said eagerly.
