Chapter One: Want Want Want!

Chapter 1

Lily Luna Potter was in a very bad mood. She couldn't wait two more years! She'd been wanting to go since James returned from his first year and boasted about everything. Now Albus was going and she still had to wait two more years!

When she'd told her mother about her annoying problem, she'd laughed and said, "When your Uncle Bill came back from his first year, I was dying to go. But I couldn't go. I waited for like, ten years or something. I almost died when I saw my Hogwarts letter. Ron, George and..." her expression had turned sad. "...Fred teased me I was a Squib, you see."

Lily knew why her mother's expression turned sad. Her Uncle Fred had died in the Battle of Hogwarts, when her mother was sixteen. "I'm sorry," she whispered.

She didn't know her uncle, so she couldn't feel that sad, but she imagined how she'd feel like if her annoying brothers died while fighting the Dark Lord. Although she thought they were extremely annoying, they were her brothers. She didn't know how her uncles and mother survived the cause. "Who killed him?" Lily asked. She didn't want to provoke her mum, but she was extremely curious.

Her mother looked at her. "An explosion," she replied gently. "Presumably by Augustus Rookwood."

"Oh." Lily said quietly. "Was Rookwood a Death Eater? I mean, was he in his Inner Circle?"

"Yes," Her mother had replied. "He was in his Inner Circle."

Anyway, Lily thought of her mum whenever she wanted to whine, "I want to go to Hogwarts!" She thought her mum had suffered more waiting than she did, and besides, she knew her mum had enough on her mind that to listen to her whining.

But even though she promised herself that, she couldn't quite manage it. So she decided to yell at the wall. "Want, want want!" she yelled at the door. "Want, want, want!"

"Why're you screaming, Lily?"

The door opened, and three boys of Lily's age stepped in. "Want to go to Hogwarts," Lily replied grumpily.

"But why," reasoned Lysander Scamander, one of the boys that had stepped in, "are you yelling at a door?"

"I didn't want to whine at my mum or dad," Lily replied. "They already have lots to think about."

"They can hear you," Hugo Weasley replied.

"Yeah, they can." Lorcan Scamander agreed.

"Well, it's better than whining at their faces, isn't it?" Lily replied.

"I think they'd think something like, 'Why is she yelling at the walls when she can whine at us?'" Lysander replied.

"Don't you guys want to go to Hogwarts?" Lily asked, annoyed and surprised that the boys didn't have the 'urge' to go to Hogwarts as she did.

"I did want to follow when Rose did," Hugo replied. "And sure I do, I do want to go, but not as hard as you."

"We'll go to Hogwarts eventually, I think," Lorcan said, frowning.

"It won't do us any good even if we whine at Mum and Dad," Lysander added.

"Typical of Luna Lovegood Scamander's sons," Lily muttered. "Excuse me, I have to yell at the wall again."

"Can we join you?" Lysander asked curiously. "I mean, I think it'd be quite fun."

"Yes, even if it isn't, we can always stop." Lorcan added.

"It'll be a good way to release our stress."

"You know we always get them because of Dad."

Hugo rolled his eyes. "You don't need to tell us the reasons," he said. "Can't you see her face? She's nodding. Just join in and yell."

"WANT! WANT! WANT!" The three boys' and one girl's yells got pass the door and into the grownups' ears.

"Just like you," Ron said, looking at his little sister. "Whining like you."

"Ron!" Hermione warned. "They're just eager to go. Weren't you like that too?"

Ron's ears went red. "Maybe," he said.

"He did!" Ginny said enthusiastically, brightening up almost immediately.

"They are just like you, Ginny," Harry commented. "So eager to go to Hogwarts."

"You know," Ginny said, grinning. "I did yell WANT, WANT, WANT when you guys were at Hogwarts."

"WANT, WANT, WANT!" "Want, want, want!"

This is my first writing and I hope you enjoy!
