Chapter 1
If you're reading this, them I'm sure it was the title that enticed you: What exactly /is/ a Slytherin? And why do I care, aren't they all just arrogant, half brained Death Eaters anyways?
Well of course the answer to the latter is no, of course not!
Slytherins have generated a fair number of Death Eaters and other people who practice Dark magic, of course, but haven't all the houses? Gryffindor spat out famed Death Eater Peter Petigrew, who sold out the even more famous Harry Potter when he was a baby, and yet we're the only ones talked about. Slytherin is the /only/ house that will admit to we dabble in the Dark arts.
But we aren't all cold blooded murderers and villians, and we shouldn't be viewed this way. The Battle of Hogwarts ended decades ago and we should look at this as a new era; and era where we, as Slytherins, stand up for our selves as we always have and show everyone else that we /can/ be good and what we can be.
So whether you're a reluctant Slytherin who is doubting their standing in this house or a member of another house who simply wants to understand us more, opening this book and reading through it's pages simply means you're giving us a chance, and this is our moment to finally shine.
We are Slytherins.
