“Now, this bottle over here is Amortentia. Can anyone tell me what it does?.... Hermione?”
Slughorn asks.
“Amortentia is the strongest love potion in the world. It does not create actual, real, love, as that is impossible. Although, it can simulate or imitate love. When used, it can be dangerous, especially if you overdose. This potion actually creates more of an obsession, which could be dangerous, seeing as the person who has been dosed could theoretically do anything for the person in question without being aware of their actions.”

“Wonderful!” Slughorn exclaimed. “Ten points to Gryffindor!”

“Now, if you could come up, yep, right up here, good! Now tell us what you smell!” He says.

“Um, cologne, um, spearmint... shampoo, and... freshly washed robes.” She says, blushing.

“Wonderful!” Exclaimed Slughorn, clapping his hands together. “Class dismissed!”
