I am too excited to sleep. It is about three in the morning, and I'm the only one stirring on Crestwood drive. I absentmindedly open up my email on my tablet, mind still on the strange happenings of today.

The page flashes: TWO NEW MESSAGES. I smile as I see that they are from my two best friends, Zoe and Hailey. Zoe's is titled: 'OH MY GOSH!!!!' And Hailey's: 'Urgent!'

I opened Zoe's email first. It said:

Totally freaking out over here! This very strange man came to my doorstep with a letter today, he was dressed in a long, purple dress! And then my parents invited him inside, and he gave me the letter, and it said that they wanted me to come to their magic school! See?!? I told you that there was something special about us! Did you get one?

Zoe

I smiled a bit at Zoe's crazy enthusiasm. And yes, she had told me that there was something different about us three, something that set us apart, but I had never really believed her.

That is, Until today.

Us three, Me, Zoe, and Hailey, had always been the outcasts of our school. No one really liked us, either that, or they were afraid of us. We were strange, and things happened when we were around. I will never forget the day I turned Quinn Zander's hair gray, just by looking at her. She had shoved me to the floor and called me a freak, and I was just so angry, and I shot her a glare, not a normal glare, the kind that would be the end of you if looks could kill. I still laugh to this day about how she'd hidden in the bathroom, sobbing, and had refused to come out for anyone, even the teachers.

I clicked Hailey's 'Urgent' message.

Dear Laurel,

The strangest thing happened today! A man in robes came to my house, with a letter inviting me to attend a magical boarding school called "Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry"! He said that he'd come back to my house in a week to take me shopping for school supplies! Did you get one too? Reply as soon as you can!

I replied to each of their emails, informing them that I had received the same letter, and that he was taking me shopping for school supplies at the same time. 

Wow. That was the strangest, but best day of my life.
