"Draco Malfoy is a Death Eater."
Hermione stared at him, crossed her arms, and shook her head disbelievingly. "No. No- I can't believe that."
"See, Mione, you're being- what's it called- prejudice."
"I am not." she insisted, turning away so that Harry wouldn't see the blush growing on her face. "But he isn't." Hermione said sharply, turning away.
Harry sighed, shaking his head. "You can't be that in love with him..." he muttered, seemingly to himself. He looked back over at his best friend, unsure how any of this had happened in such a short time. It had merely been a week since Ron had accused her and started dating Lavender Brown. Life really was chaos, wasn't it.
A few days ago, he had made the best potion in Slughorn's class. Using that Felix Felicis, Harry had found out about the Dark Lord's- probably biggest, and most important- secret. Voldemort had a weakness. A weakness that might be their only hope to have the light prevail. Horcruxes. The Dark Lord has these...objects that are extremely well hidden and probably guarded, that hold a piece of his soul. Yes, his soul. If Harry, Hermione, and possibly Ron could find and destroy them, they would actually have a chance against the darkness. They might be able to win.
He looked back at Hermione who had continued to walk.
War was coming- everyone knew it. But, Hermione didn't understand how Harry was burdened by the prophecy. By having to defeat Voldemort and save everyone from the Death Eaters.
