"Hi." Hermione mumbled, voice barely audible, as the blonde Slytherin. She was surprised when he didn't respond, nor acknowledged her. Surely Draco had heard her; she hadn't been on the other side of the room or anything. Her gaze lingered for a moment as he hurried out of the classroom. He hadn't looked the best, she had noticed. His eyes were dark and skin even paler than usual. What was wrong?
She shook her head, neatly putting her notebook, quill, and textbooks in her bag. Hermione walked out, followed by Harry. As usual, a small group of girls was giggling near them, all love-struck and staring googly- eyed at 'The Chosen One.'
"Come on, Harry." she said, gabbing his arm and walking out.
"We have ten minutes until the next class."
She didn't reply.
"Has he been acting weird to you?" Hermione murmured, half to herself, half to Harry. He adjusted his glasses, furrowing his eyebrows slightly. He glanced at her, looking slightly confused.
"Oh," Harry said, drawing it out. He let out a laugh, nodding. "Malfoy, you mean?" She glared at him, looking around the corridor, signifying not to talk so loudly in fear someone would catch part of their conversation. "I'll take that as a yes. Well, everyone is, I guess. We're in a war, Mione. No one's acting normal." Harry looked around the hallway again; there was nobody in range to hear what he was going to say. "I have a theory...but you'll probably kill me, seeing how you are now."
