Chapter 18
"Why did you tell Harry about everything?" Hermione asked, moving her bag and sitting down on the couch. Ginny closed her thick textbook, standing up and sitting next to her.
"I didn't tel him everything..." she said, emphasizing "everything."
"But you did tell him a lot." Said the brunette, taking on her "child, sit in the time out chair" voice.
"He's your best friend." Ginny stated simply. "Well, besides me of course." Ginny flipped her hair over her shoulder, giving a small smile. "You can't deny that, can you Hermione."
She shook her head, lightly pushing the fifth year over. She rolled her eyes, not saying anything, taking a textbook out of her bag.
"Homework together?" she asked, holding up her quill. Ginny nodded, and they both started on to what was to be a long evening of writing, studying, and helping each other understand what they found confusing and complicated.

"Thanks for the help, Mione." Ginny mumbled, turning the light off and pulling up her covers. "Goodnight."
Hermione had decided to stay in Ginny's room again. She just couldn't bear sharing a dorm with Lavender Brown. That would honestly have been torture.
Secretly, in the deepest, most secretive corner of her mind, she wanted Draco's owl to come again, bearing a note that asked her to come to the lake. At midnight, there was a quiet tapping sound on one of the windows. Hermione opened it, stroking the owl's feathers.

Same place.
D. M.

He didn't need to write his initials- Hermione would have known it had been him. But still, she appreciated it. Just like the night before, she pulled on her shoes and grabbed her cloak. It was warmer that the night before, so there was no need for it, but just in case, she brought it to be prepared. As she neared the beach, a smile crept on to her face. She was getting used to this new version of Draco, and he seemed almost...relieved that he had shown someone his real self. Hermione appreciated that he had revealed himself to her instead of keeping on his regular skin. She was glad that he had, and sensed that he was, too.
