PEOPLE

Chapter 3
As I mentioned, there are a lot of new students who are able to frequent the website more often because of more free time. Meaning that there might be too many students on one page. Or too many people online.

It's not you, it's the website
There might just be too many people online on the same server on the same page. It happens. Just reload the page or go to another one and come back later.
Or maybe they're going through testing and repairs. Just come back later, you should have enough time. Plus, the grading queues are a little packed, so you probably won't miss your assignment coming back to you anytime soon. And if you do, it doesn't matter!

It's not the website, it's you
Your connection might just be bad! Some people's internets have been going a little crazy, especially in tightly packed urban areas. Just wait a couple of minutes. The internet should be back on. If it's not back on in the next few hours, you should contact your internet provider or look at the provider's FAQ for clarification.
Or maybe your computer is old or just being slow. In that case, have you thought of restarting it? Sometimes that helps.

We're people, people
The teachers are working day and night to constantly give you your assignments back, and so are the TAs. According to Professor Virneberg in a comment to a student, the queue is filled to the max, 3000 and greater. You'll have to wait a while, so just be patient.
