Chapter 3
Draco POV
I walk into the Slytherin common room like nothing happened. Astoria is crying, and Pansy is comforting her. Uh-oh. I didn’t mean to do that. My guilt vanished as soon as Pansy starts chasing me, and yelling death threats. Even Blaise looks mad, and he’s usually pretty laid back. Once Pansy calms down, he walks over to me.
“Dude.”
He says.
“What. Is wrong with you?”
I expected this, and even prepared answers. I just couldn’t get them to come out. “I need to talk to you.”
I say. I motion for him to follow me up to our dorm. He does.
I fill him in with the story of how Granger and I made a deal, of how the library thing was on purpose, and why we did it.
“You couldn’t have at least picked a Pureblood?” He asks. “I knew a Muggleborn would annoy Astoria most.” I say. He gives me a funny look. Oh-no. “Mudblood! I mean Mudblood.”
