Chapter 2
If you're reading this, that means you've found the First Year bookshelf in the Great Library. You're already starting your year off right by using the library! The library is full of great material from professors and other students alike. From text books to fanfic, the HiH library has it all.

In the introduction to your class, your professor will clarify if there is a textbook designated for your class. Most classes do not have a mandatory textbook, but they will suggest a book for you to read on your own. It is wise to read these books. These books often give spare information that, may not be in the lesson or covered on the quiz, gives good insight to the course that you are learning. This is especially good for astronomy as multiple assignments call for outside research. All library books at Hogwarts are free to borrow and can be checked out until the end of the school year.

Need a break from studying? The HiH library also offers stories and roleplay options. Many of the stories are written by current or former Hogwarts students about their endeavors here while at school. Others are also left open for roleplay aspects. Feel free to write your own stories, diary entries, or even your own info guide!
