Apologies and Ice Cream
Chapter 14
Pansy POV
I feel terrible. I’m not trying to be fake, but Lana has every right to believe that after how we’ve treated her. I leave the Great Hall and walk to our dorms I find her crying. “Hey. It’s okay.” It’s plain, but I don’t know what to say. “No, it’s not. Hermione Granger doesn’t cry.” I feel pain. Not for me, for her. “You’re not Hermione Granger. You’re Lana Zabini. She might cry. You don’t know yet. You’ve been her for, how long? Almost 2 months?” We go to our dorms. “Pureblood” I say. I give Lana an apologetic glance, as she, quite obviously, is not too fond of our portrait password. I walk to my mini-freezer and she follows. I pull out strawberry ice cream and hand her the entire container with a spoon. “Thanks, Pansy,” she says, and we spend the rest of our night in silence.
