There are many differences in the Beast Codes in America and Britain. For example, Dragons are legally bred in America, though disillusionment charms must be cast upon them every three hours, as they are large creatures, and the spell wears off quickly. There must also be a special license given to the owner of a Dragon by the Magical Creatures Bureau, signed by the Head of Bureaus himself in order to be able to own or breed a Dragon.

 There are national parks ell over the country, and Muggles are told that they are designed for the creatures there. However, when wizard President Theodore Roosevelt designed the parks, he had in ind Magical creatures such as Centaurs, Unicorns, and Direwolves. They live there together, in the most famous of all the parks, Yellowstone. The animals are only seen by witches and wizards, and the odd squib.

Dementors have never been allied with the American Ministry for Magic, and there is a special task force set up in the Auror Bureau specially designed to take care of Dementors.

House Elves have a representative in the Magical Creatures Bureau, a one Lovey. Though his name is very wimpy, be warned. He is very fierce, and will protect himself when he needs to.
